Evening Standard – Inside Tom Daley’s South London Flat
Evening Standard Homes & Property · 24 May 2017

Our Southwark Bridge Road Penthouse was featured in the Evening Standard's Homes & Property. This piece featured an exclusive interview with the penthouse's owners, Olympic diver Tom Daley and Oscar winner Dustin Lance Black discussing the penthouse as their first shared home and a newly married couple.
The uniqueness of our signature reclaimed wood cabinetry clearly won over the couple in the search for their home.
"'Most properties we viewed looked the same,' laments Black, ... 'Their interiors looked identical, as if the developers had sourced all the kitchen and bathroom fittings from one supplier. For me, a home needs to be somewhere I can be creative in. It has to have a certain spirit.'"
When Daley and Black, first viewed the property, Black noted, "It was clear this wasn’t a cookie-cutter apartment.” The exposed brick and timber joists with our reclaimed wood cabinetry in the unit provided the character the couple was looking for while maintaining the modern standards of a newly refurbished flat.
"Daley adds, 'Here has the convenience of a new build but it is comfortable and homely, almost like being in a country house right in the city centre.'"
Our Southwark Penthouse kitchen is a particular favourite of the couple, as they enjoy entertaining and Daley is an avid cook.
"Daley’s favourite space is the kitchen, where he and Black frequently entertain: 'I love cooking my mum’s sausage casserole recipe, for example, or baking cheesecake for friends. We made Christmas dinner here for 17 guests.'"
