Written by Talib Choudry and photographed by Alexander James, a profile of Tom Daley, his husband Dustin Lance Black, and their home, our Southwark Bridge Penthouse, was featured in the 20th of May issue of The Telegraph Magazine.
The piece features some of our favourite bespoke details of the home. The bespoke dining table was shown with the warehouse timber joists, Buster and Punch lighting, and the Southwark view in the background. The engraving we did on the table edge also is featured, commemorating the day the homeowners met.
The kitchen is shown fully stocked with the homeowners wares and cookery books.
"'The kitchen is one of the reasons we loved this place so much,' says Daley. 'I've always loved cooking - actually, it's not so much the cooking, it's the eating - and went to cookery school when I was 16. It's not very often in central London that you get a decent-sized kitchen that has everything and functions properly.'"
As Mr. Daley often creates cooking videos for his Youtube Channel, the penthouse kitchen serves as his cozy and textured background.
Also, shown within the article is the homeowners love of decorating with the Union Jack flag. The vibrant colours of the flag as well as the flash of Mr. Daley's diving medals and Mr. Black's Oscar standout against the homes exposed brick walls and timber floors and ceilings.
